Alpine Wine Tasting

  • Le Sud 2301 West Roscoe Street Chicago, IL, 60618 United States (map)

October in Chicago returns an inviting chill to the air, and makes for many a memorable Autumn evening. Similar cool nights also bring needed relief to ripening grapes worldwide. Indeed, it's this diurnal temperature swing which makes great wine growing possible. Wines from the great Alpine terroirs of Europe, in particular, reflect a style in which cooler climes produce wines of distinct elegance; balancing nuanced fruit, minerality, and vibrant acidity. Join us in our beautiful loft space on October 8th, from 6-8 p.m., for a guided tour of Alpine wines from French appellations in the Jura, and Savoie, as well as Switzerland, and Northern Italy. Our expert wine vendors, and sommelier, will be on hand to showcase these oft-unheralded mountainous marvels of the old world! Chef Kevin McMullen will provide appropriate fare to pair with your wines. Please reserve soon, as space for this event is extremely limited. We look forward to meeting you there!

A $20 suggestive donation will include a tasting of 6 wines & lite bites from Executive Chef Kevin McMullen.  100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Roscoe Village Neighbors Association.
